Sonic X MLP Chapter 1

Chapter 1: New World


Sleeping in again for the third day in a row, Artie is calmly snoring with the covers over his head when suddenly someone began jumping on him.
"Hey cmon sleepy head, you gotta be healed by now. Noponys ever stayed at Fluttershy's healing this long."
"Grrr….maybe I'm not like most other ponies…" Artie growled as he kicked the jumper off and went back to sleep.
"Okaaaaayyyy, you asked for it." The jumper then pulled a trumpet up and took a deep breath….
Downstairs, Twilight and Fluttershy were having tea with some very special guests when suddenly a loud fanfare followed by screaming and clambering came from upstairs. A little purple dragon with green spines came running down the stairs…
"OHHHH, YOU LITTLE PURPLE SCALEY WEASEL! GET BACK HERE SO I CAN THROTTLE YOU!!!!" Artie tried to run down the stairs after the little dragon but still not being used to walking on hooves he stumbled down the stairs with a loud crash, "OOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW!" The little purple dragon peeks out from behind Twilight's chair trying to stifle a laugh.
"Spike, I thought I told you not to disturb Arthur while the Princesses were visiting?" Twilight asked.
"Huh? Wait you mean that pony is….oh scales…my bad guy…" Spike embarrassingly put a hand behind his head and smiled nervously while Artie groaned and struggling to stand. Twilight gets up and tries to help him balance but he tripped backwards and ended up pulling Twilight down with him and landed on top of him. The force of the fall nearly made them kiss by mistake but only managed jabbing their snouts against the others, Twilight was the first to notice she was on top of Artie and immediately yelps and jumps off….


[Naruto's Daily Life]

After getting Artie up and into a chair Twilight tried to put a bandaid on the red bump perfectly but kept pulling it off and trying again..
"Ow…ow….OW! Really it can't be that hard to see red contrasted against silver can it? OW!" Artie grumbled.
"Well if you'd stop moving I could get it right….there." Twilight snapped back. Rubbing his head Artie looks up and notices two very different looking mares dressed very regally.
"Hey who are these two?" he asked.
"What? You've never heard of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna before?" Twilight said.
"Uhhh NO considering me and my friends aren't even FROM THIS WORLD to begin with….ow…." Artie grumbled.
"So this is the one called Arthur. It's a pleasure to meet you, I am the ruler of Equestria, Princess Celestia and this is my younger sister Princess Luna. My faithful student Twilight Sparkle was just telling us about the amazing things you did a few days ago." She said.
"Huh? What do ya mean? What did I do?" Artie asked even more confused than usual.
"You know, defeating that monstrosity you and your friends called Silver Sonic?" Twilight answered.
"What? Are you nuts? Theres no way I could have beaten Silver Sonic!" he said back.
"But…Twilight was very descriptive in her letter to us, saying it was you who singlehandedly defeated the enemy." Luna said.
"That's correct, she's never been mistaken with anything…" Celestia said.
"Except this…I don't remember a darn thing. Last thing I remember was getting punched out by Silver Sonic and then waking up here in Fluttershy's place turned into a pony. I thought Sonic and the others beat him…right? Isn't that how it happened?" Artie asked. But Twilight just looked at Celestia and Luna with an odd look…
"That….is what happened…Right?"

A while later Twilight was taking Artie out for a walk trying to get him used to walking on hooves but from Fluttershy's house to Tails's workshop he's faceplanted into the ground seven times.
"Are you sure you're gonna be ok like this?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah…I just need to get used to this being I was never born as a pony." Artie said as he picks himself up off the ground again and walks into the workshop. Twilight was looking around at all the technical manuals and books Tails had in this one workshop alone, back on Mobius he has about 10 different workshops for when he's on the go with Sonic.
"Ohh wow…all this in this one little building?! Amazing…"
"Umm, Twilight you think you can help me before I fall down a flight of stairs again!!!" Artie said as he is teetering on the edge of the stairs. Twilight snapped out of her daze and grabbed Artie before he fell and helps him down the stairs.
"Hey sleepy head, how do ya feel being a pony now hehehehe." Tails chuckled.
"Like hell, I'm still sore from three days ago with the fight and all. Twilight said that I had beaten Silver Sonic and not you guys…but…that can't be true….is it?" Artie asked.
"Huh? You mean you don't remember what happened?" Tails asked.
"No nada zip zilch bupkus. All I remember was being punched out by Silver Sonic and then waking up as a pony in Fluttershy's place. That's it….story of my life." Artie said.
"What do you mean Artie?" Twilight asked.
"Well….I can't remember most of my own life. The farthest thing I can remember is waking up in Green Hill Zone and finding my way to Station Square. Everything before that is like a big blackhole inside my head where those memories should be. And before you ask yes Tails tried to bring those memories back but only ended up nearly setting the whole workshop on fire." Artie explained. Twilight looked on quietly…
"Well let's get a look at your new drive Artie." Tails said as he brought out a machine and Artie lifted up his shirt showing that it had changed in appearance. It now looked like the chest piece to an armor, grey in color with a glowing circle in the center right above his heart. When Tails began scanning it the sensor began beeping rapidly and his eyes went wide…
"Whoa…Artie this new drive is putting out more than a hundred times the power of the old one; it's almost comparable to the Chaos Emeralds." Tails said excitedly.
"Its probably because of the power of the Elements of Harmony. You once called it a Heart Drive right? Perhaps it should be called….the Harmony Drive? And what are Chaos Emeralds?" Twilight said.
"I made several reference guides about them; you can find them under…" Before Tails could finish a book with a picture of the seven Emeralds on the cover was tossed into Twilight's arms as Pinkie Pie skips past.
"It was under C!" in her usual singy voice. Tails then looks up from Artie's new drive with a stupefied look on his face.
"What the? How did she even get in here? I didn't even hear the door open?!?!"
"*sigh* Don't worry, it's just Pinkie being Pinkie." Using her telekinesis she levitates the book out of her arms and opens it, flipping through several pages and begins reading.
"I have some info for you as well Artie. I've learned that the land we're in is called…" Tails said before he was cut off.
"Equestria." Artie said.
"Right and the rulers are…"
"The Princess Sisters Celestia and Luna."
"Are you going to let me talk or not?" Tails grumbled, "Now, there are several areas to Equestria but more on that later. The main places that are accessible to us in general is Ponyville, where we are now, Canterlot, its like the Capital of Equestria, Everfree Forest and Cloudsdale." Tails explained as he finished his examination.
"I see…..GAH! SPEAKING OF THE EMERALDS, WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM!?" Artie shouted.
"Well…this has happened to me and the others before…the last time this happened we went to a place called Earth and the Emeralds were scattered all over the world. I'm guessing that's what happened here as well, Chaos Control scattered the Emeralds all over Equestria and if Eggman gets them…"
"He'll be able to enhance his machines with their power, correct?" Twilight said.
"Right…wow, you're a quick study Twilight. Maybe we can exchange information about the Elements of Harmony and the Emeralds to see if they are related in some way?" Tails asked.
"Sure, Pinkie could you take Artie with you to AJ's for me? I'm gonna stick around here and hang out with Tails." Twilight asked.
"Okie dokey lokie, cmon Artie lets vamoose!" as she grabs Artie and yanks him out the door. The walk to Sweet Apple Acres was a little easier, Artie didn't faceplant at all but he still stumbled around. As they enter the farm they spot one of Eggman's mechs flying at them only to crash into a tree with an imprint of a fist in its face, they look over to where it came from and see a huge built muscled red draft horse with a harness collar around his neck and an orange mane wearing overalls and a white shirt as he slams another Eggmech in the chest with so much power the punch made a shockwave and sent the mech flying for who knows how far.
"Hey there Big Mac! Are Applejack and Knuckles around?" Pinkie asked.
"Howdy Ms. Pinkie Pie, you can find em out bucking the trees. Who's yer friend?" He asked.
"This is Artie, Artie this is AJ's big brother Big Macintosh." Pinkie said as she waved bye to Mac and yanked Artie off again. Where Big Mac said they'd be Knuckles and Applejack were knocking apples off trees into baskets.
"Hey guys, Artie's finally awake." Pinkie said as she thrusts an apple into his hands.
"Hey Knux, how's AJ been treating ya?" Artie said taking a bite out of the apple.
"Heh, forcing me to knock these apples out of the trees for starters. How do you feel?" he asked.
"Like a human in a pony's body what else. Its bizarre though….it feels familiar somehow…oh! Have you seen Sonic anywhere?" Artie asked.
"Meh, he's running around the world as usual. I think that flying rainbow horse girl took off after him too." Knuckles said.
"You mean Rainbow Dash? She musta wanted ta race him, that's just like her." AJ chuckled. Halfway across Equestria, Sonic looks out from a cliff at the mountains as Dash swoops in from behind.
"Hey blue guy! Wanna race?" she called out.
"Heh, sure if you can keep up, my little pony." Sonic joked as he and Dash took off in a blur of speed.
Hours later Artie has gotten a full tour of the village, Rarity's boutique was rebuilt and she and Amy combined fashion ideas to make a any seasonal line of clothing, Twilight is still reading most of Tails's tech books, Cream and Pinkie planned a get together for everybody but Artie is out standing on a bridge looking out at the moon…
"You're still awake? I thought everypony would be in bed at this hour." Artie nearly jumped off the bridge into the pond when he was startled by Luna.
"Oh geez…its just you…uhh…sorry I'm bad with names right now…" Artie nervously chuckled.
"Hehehe, Luna is my name. Now what are you doing out at this hour Arthur?" she asked.
"Oh well Luna…for as long as I can remember I've always looked at the moon and after a stressful day it always calms me." He said.
"Oh…really?" Luna said with a hint of interest.
"Yeah…even though I'm from another world we still have the same sky. Though Mobius's moon has a huge hole in it so I've never seen a intact moon before."
"What?! Your world's moon has a hole?" Luna said shocked.
"Yeah, years before I met Sonic and the others, Eggman took control of a weapon that could've blown the entire planet to pieces. He first demonstrated its power by shooting the moon and blasting a hole in it." Artie explained.
"Does this Eggman possess such a weapon here? If he strikes the moon with it I will be harmed as well!" Luna shrieks as she grabs Artie's shoulders.
"Whoa…easy relax, the Eclipse Cannon was decommissioned after someone used it to destroy aliens who tried to destroy Mobius. And what do you mean if the moon here was struck it would hurt you?" Artie blushed.
"Like my sister, I bring out the night in our world while she brings the day. I am connected to the moon just as my sister is connected to the sun. ….OH! I'm sorry." She realizes just how close she is to Artie and pulls away.
"Hehe, it's no problem." He starts to walk back to Tails's workshop, "Hey Luna…"
"Um, Yes Arthur?"
"You're pretty fun to talk to, maybe we can hang out more often sometime and chat again." Artie said.
"Oh…umm..Yes, I'd like that. Umm…feel free to visit the Castle in Canterlot anytime you wish. I wish you good dreams Arthur, good night." She blushed as she flew off into the night sky. Artie walked into the Workshop and saw Tail sleeping in the cockpit of the Tornado; it looks like he fell asleep in the middle of repairs but Twilight was still reading his books.
"Yo nightowl pony."
"Huh? Oh Arthur, welcome back. Did you like the tour of Ponyville?" she asked with three books hovering in front of her.
"Yeah, a lot of interesting characters. Have you been reading all these books all day?" he asked.
"Yes, Tails is certainly very knowledgeable for such a young fox. All these books about machines and vehicles are amazing…" Twilight said.
"Heh, if you think that's amazing he's built a ship that can go into space! A ship that can go to the surface of the moon if that helps you picture it." Artie said.
"Yes…the…Blue Typhoon. I saw a diagram of it in one of his books. But most of these have odd diagrams." She used her telekinesis to move a book into Arties face, it had a blueprint for a weapon for the X-Tornado.
"That's a gun Twilight. For us its mostly for shooting Eggmechs, are you telling me you don't have stuff like this here in your world?" he asked.
"No not at all. We've never needed anything like that because we've never had a threat like Eggman before." Twilight yawned.
"Twi, you've been up almost all night reading. Go on home and sleep, I'm sure Spike might need some pulling away from a party though." Artie joked.
"Yawn, ok…I'll just take a few of the last books I've yet to read. Good night Arthur." Twilight walks past Artie and for some reason flicks her tail up against his chest and walks out. Artie straightens up a little before hitting the hay, hours pass but suddenly…
"ARTIE ARTIE WAKE UP THIS IS IMPORTANT!" Twilight shakes him awake in a panic.
"Huh, wha what is it? YEOW!!" Twilight levitates him and takes him outside, when his eyes finally adjusted to the morning light he suddenly heard a familiar laugh and looked up to find a massive flying monitor with none other than Eggman's face.
"HOHOHOHOHOHOHO, Hello dear Equestrians! I am Dr. Eggman, the greatest genius of all time! You're probably wondering what I want, I'm a simple man and all I want…Is to turn your entire country into my own personal continent and utopia EGGMANLAND!!! It has come to my attention that that meddlesome hedgehog and friends have somehow found their way here." This was being broadcasted across Equestria through several monitors and Sonic and Dash were watching one right now, "That's right; I know you're here Sonic and this time I'm calling you out! But this time you will be outmatched by my creations. You and your friends will fail this time and you will finally no longer be a pain in my side. If you want to even try and stop me, come to the Capital of Equestria and face one of my latest masterpieces if you can, OHHHOHHOHOHOHOHOHOHO!!!"
The second the broadcast ended Artie immediately began running toward Canterlot with everyone else right behind….
